"Under the Influence"

I grew up in a Christian home, and my dad always would teach me and my siblings about God.  He would often talk about a very valuable lesson. Influence.  He told us that the people we hang out with can often change us.  If we surround our lives with people with low morals and bad decisions, eventually it will most likely wear off on us.  Instead, we should surround ourselves with Godly people who love and know Jesus Christ passionately.  My dad made sure that we were aware that this does not mean that we cannot hang out with people of bad influence.  God still wants us to be around those kinds of people so that we can have the chance to show them that we are different, and to show them the love we have for God.  God loves everyone just the same, no matter how they look, or no matter what kind of person they are.

I have always listened to what my dad taught.  But all of his teachings are things that we have to decide for ourselves and decide on our own views.  I now have the chance to decide my beliefs and how I want to live my life, since I am a college student parting ways and heading down the road to independence.  I have learned so much since I have been in college.  My dad was right.

I have met some great people here in college, most of who I believed to be Godly people since I met them at our college church group, Mission 28.  I have been reminded that just because they are involved in Church events, it does not make them Godly people.  Some of these friends have pressured me to do things that go completely against my morals.  I never thought it would be that hard to not give in, but when they are your friends who you feel you can trust, it makes it a million times more difficult to not throw your morals aside.

Through everything I have lived through so far, I have realized that my dad has already been through a lot of this, so he most likely has good advice that is worth listening to and taking to heart.  It is still up to me to make a final decision, and I hope I always remember to follow God and not the world.

"And you never promised that this life wasn`t hard,
But you promised you`d take care of me.

So I`ll stop searching for the answers,
I`ll stop praying for an escape,
And I`ll trust you,God, with where i am,
And believe that you will have your way.
Just have your way.
Just have your way."

Struggling?

Cry out to Jesus"There is hope for the helpless, and rest for the weary, and love for the broken hearts.."

I'm sure everyone has their ups and downs in life. Well when you're down, just cry out to Jesus.  He is listening. He is ALWAYS there for you; you are never alone.  If you've been going through some struggles please listen to this and take it to heart.  This is my song for when I'm feeling down and hopeless.

Never Lose Hope!

I am in that time of my life where it seems like there is no end.  Nothing seems to be going the way I have planned.  My days are exhausting from work sun-up to sun-down.  Sometimes I want to give up and just take the easier road.  But its when I realize that there IS a light at the end of this tunnel and things will get better.  God has a plan for us all.  He knows our hearts and knows when we are trying our hardest in life.  He will one day reward us.  We just have to stay strong and put our faith and trust in God and He will show us the way!

The Lost Get Found

You know those songs that you just want to scream to with all of your heart?  The ones that make you feel great and can change your whole mood?   Well this is my song.  It is so uplifting and very inspiring.  We need to remember to stand out in the crowd and not take the easier road.     - By: Britt Nicole  "The Lost Get Found"

You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same

"You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same."

This quote really is motivational.  I find it to be SO powerful.  God loves us not matter what we do or who we are!  I think that is amazing.  We are human, so we are bound to mess up and make mistakes again and again.  He will always forgive us because He loves us.

Inspiration

Yes, heaven would be soo much better than Earth, but God wants us to live our lives to the best! We are going to go through many ups and downs in life but we need to remember to enjoy the ride as we go! LIFE IS GOOD!

Also remember, it could be worse.  When you think life can't get any worse, think of all the many blessing that you have.  Most people reading this might be blessed with a computer, or at least still have the knowledge and talent to be on the internet blogging.  God has blessed us with so much in our lives.  We just need to remember to stay strong through the struggles and stand firm!

Sin and Temptation

"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." -1 Corinthians 10:13

"I'll need my Maker to cure me of my doubting blood, and drain me of the sins I love." -DC

I feel like I have been slowly wandering from God. I continue to make mistakes, and constantly am asking Him for forgiveness. We have to remember that God will always forgive us of our sins. This does not mean it is okay to continue to sin simply because you know God will forgive you. We need to actually make an effort and try to change our ways, or else asking God for forgiveness really is of no worth. God will still continue to forgive us, but we have to remember to try our hardest to change our ways and follow the path of God, not the world.

A Light in This World

We are to be IN this world, not OF the world. Why follow the lead of what everyone else is doing simply because it is "cool"? God wants us to be a light in this world and show people that life is not about us. It is about much more than that.
